No Relationship Is All Sunshine | I Can Be The Victim Or The Hero Of My Story | The Mister Brown Show Podcast

Welcome to this episode of The Mister Brown Show! “Real Talk, Real Life, Real Choices.” Today I am going to share a Quote of The Day and Part Two of my conversation with Brandon, a student who heard me speak over 12 years ago!

Quote Of The Day

My conversation with Brandon reminds me of the quote “Never underestimate the power of a moment.” One moment in Brandon’s life helped change the direction of his life. I encourage you to fully show up to every moment! Every moment matters.

That was a bonus Quote Of The Day! The REAL Quote Of The Day is:“No relationship is all sunshine. But two people can share one umbrella and survive the storm together.”

Sometimes we expect other people in our relationships to be perfect.  The question is, “Are we looking for perfection in something that we ourselves bring flaws to?” Nobody is perfect and we all have flaws.  No relationship is perfect either, but two people can fit under one umbrella.  This quote applies to all relationships; it can be a teacher, a store clerk, a friend, a husband, a wife, or a family member.  Are we expecting our friends, our country, the church, our government officials, or our family to be perfect when we ourselves are not perfect?  Are we going to throw the baby out with the bathwater? We have to understand that no relationship is all sunshine.

Sometimes it seems like the louder voices are heard, even if they are wrong, but silent voices are never heard.  Our differences are not bad. We are all created in the image of God and that is where our value and purpose comes from.  Our relationships are more than our differences or what we agree or disagree about.  We need the ups and downs in order to appreciate when the sun is shining.  And it’s a choice. And when you make better choices, you will live a better life.  So choose well. Oh yeah!

Part 2 With Brandon

I encourage you to listen to part 2 of my conversation with Brandon! We talk about the idea that you can be the hero or the victim of your own story! It's all about your choices.

Our conversations starts at 10:43 in the video and the audio only.

Conclusion

I hope you were encouraged by that conversation! I am so grateful to be able to speak into and be a part of students’ lives! Thank you to all of you who support and follow us!

I would love to hear from you and what you think about my conversation with Brandon!
