2 Tips for Fighting Off the "I Don't Feel Like It" Beast

Self-management means doing things you don't always want to do. Here are 2 tips to help you fight off the "I don't feel like it" beast. Does your alarm go off in the morning and the first thing you think is, “I don’t want to get up”? You get up and get ready, but the whole time you are telling yourself how you don’t feel like doing anything. Period.

Here are 2 things you can do when you don’t feel like doing what you’re supposed to:

1. Focus on what you need to do. Stop fighting yourself. Focusing on what needs to be done instead of only thinking about how much you don’t want to do it, changes your thinking to a positive mindset.

2. Focus on the results. Don’t only focus on the work. Getting up and doing your work is important. Look ahead to the reward that comes at the end of your work.

Do what you need to do to become the person you want to become.
