Hello, my name is Mister Brown

Mister Brown

Yes! My first name is Mister.

I was not always “Mister Brown,” but I have always been a communicator.

I grew up in the inner city of Milwaukee, WI. My single-parent mom taught us to work hard and my grandmother taught me to play hard.

I learned quickly that, while there is a lot in life that we cannot control, we each have a super power - the power of our choices.

I got started

working at a day camp when I was in high school and quickly became “Mister Brown.” At the time it was a good reminder that I needed to act like a grown up, but now I am “Mister Brown” everywhere I go.

As I worked with students I quickly realized that they need help choosing well in all of life. My choose well message has grown out of 20+ years of working with students, parents, and professionals.

As a kid, my grandfather was

a pastor so I grew up in church, mostly playing the drums and hanging out in the local community. I had some incredible mentors along the way, but also saw first hand a disconnect between what we claim to believe and the way we live.

Whether it is partnering with local churches, guest preaching, or creating content for Proclaim Ministries, I am passionate about helping people connect faith and life.

In 2009 I moved to

California

when I married my wife, Andrea. We have loved living life together and contributing to our community. We started Life With The Browns with our kids, Sophia & Evan. As a family, we love learning and finding fun in everyday life.

We started our YouTube channel as a way of sharing with our friends and family.

Whether we know you from Costco, Kansas, or somewhere in between, we are so thankful for you and our community of friends.

The Choose Well Program has

grown over time. I got started as a motivational speaker but never wanted to just be a one time presenter. I prefer to develop partnerships for lasting change.

I have a gift for communicating to a wide range of audiences and the Choose Well Program has enabled me to support schools and families in developing positive school culture. Whether it is motivating students, consulting with administrators, encouraging teachers, or equipping parents, I believe everyone has the “power to choose” and would count it a privilege to support your community in choosing well.

“Oh yeah!”
